Instead of euthanizing abused and neglected shelter dogs, let's send them to jail.
Actually, it's not as crazy as it sounds.
Canine Cellmates places shelter dogs in Atlanta's Fulton County Jail. Each pup is matched with an inmate handler and they live together full-time. The dogs eventually graduate through the program to find new homes, while the men find new purpose and meaning. As founder Susan Jacobs-Meadows says, "God gave dogs the ability to look inside a human being and find the good that exists in there."
We could all learn a lot from dogs.
Enjoy!
